Segments
Send to the people it is actually for.
A segment is a question about your audience with a number attached. Janix answers it from the record you already have, with the same builder the send uses.
The actual problem
Most lists are whoever is left in the export.
Without a record that carries across events, a segment is a spreadsheet filter somebody rebuilt last Tuesday. Nobody is sure who is in it, and the count on the screen is not the count that gets the email.
What you build from
Built from what people did.
Segments draw on purchase history, tags, personas, geography and program. Start from a ready-made template or build your own.
Personas
Returning, lapsed and first-time, named.
Returning, lapsed and first-time buyers are identified, so lapsed buyers are a segment you pick, not a query you write.
These describe your audience. They do not act on it: you choose who hears what, and every send waits for your approval.
Beyond email
Take the same segment to Meta.
Export a segment to Meta as a Custom Audience, so the people your ads reach are the people you would have emailed. Then send to the same segment by email.
Segments, personas and returning and lapsed identification are part of Janix Portfolio.
